Dogpatch Press Casting Vision

There  once was a joke  within Republican circles,  that defines  a hatemonger as a conservative who is arguing with a liberal and the conservative is winning.

Patch at  Dogpatch press made another vision casting proclamation:

“Over the last 2 years with the demise of Vine, many Furries have started to migrate over to YouTube. Many have amassed groups of followers, hold regular livestreams on Twitch, or have Patreons. And some have used this platform as a guise to get away with borderline toxic or outright hateful behavior.”

So what is this toxic or outright hateful behavior? He list Trump Supporters, JonTron, and 2 the Ranting Gryphon as examples. The problem is I cannot I find anything hateful about them. I disagree with Jon Tron and Trump, but that does not make them hateful.  Patches’ standard is anything I disagree with is hate speech.

It is not the Fury Youtubers of different  political persuasion are toxic  but  vision casting tyrants like  the members of Anthrocon board towards  2, Patch, Deo, and Cultrally F’d. They that feel the need to cast vision for the fandom and  drum out any who disagree with their vision. We do not need a leader in the fandom. We not your community to toy with. I do not need a community to be furry. The furry fandom is about the love and interest in anthropomorphic animals in art , literature, and fursuiting.

One can express ideas from Right or Left, sexual orientation, and religion in the fandom. We may disagree and create alternative (i.e LGBT or Christian fur groups).  What we must not do is to make one politics standard for the entire fandom. My view borrowed for my view of Christian liberty, is one can speak for themselves but cannot make their scruples the rule for the entire furry fandom. Politics is irrelevant in the Furry fandom. The fandom should be a place and time where a Christian conservative and  a Transgendered leftist, who disagree on 90% of anything, can come to  at a con and have civilized discussion what they have in common, the love of anthropomorphic characters. If  you do not like that  then the exit door is to the right. please leave quietly.

There Nazi furs under my Bed — NOT!

There Patch O Fur  goes again, hunting imaginary Nazis in the fandom.

Recently   Dogpatch Press had  release another round logical fallacies dressed as news of news alleging Andrew Anglin, the neo-Nazi shill of the Daily Stormer, accepting and encouraging the Alt Furs. Dogpacth press’ argument on this post and others built shaky foundation of tweets taken out of context and generalizations.

Goodbye, Funday Pawpets Show.

It was a shock for me to read on the Funday Pawpet site; because of the lost of fur stream and the never ending copyright bureaucracy in trying to keep up with licensing and not getting flag, they decided to end the show after almost 18 years.
Now at first I thought the Pwapets show could done a lot to rectify the issues. They could retool tool show to rely less on copyrighted media. The fandom has grown in 18 years; they could find talented furry writers to help with scripts. They could even sell the show or invite others, transition new people, and a different studio as they transition out.

Then it hit me: 18 years is a lot of life to give up. I cannot image personal opportunities and relationships they may have put on hold to bring us a slice of furry zaniness every Sunday. Frankly the deserve retirement and a chance to move on to other interest.
I was a regular watcher of the show most Sundays. However, alas living without a car and long public transportation commutes mean I could not watch all be the last hour. So thank you for 10 years reminding for the fun and creativity that reminds me each Sunday what the Furry fandom is about.

So ’til we, meet again, Adios, Au Revoir, Auf Wiedersehn. Goodnight!!!

News Site Censorship?

Is time  to dump furry news sites being  harmful to the fandom.

This is my response to  an article posted on Flayrah

Dog Patch Press by Patch O Fur has banned from commenting for the one time I dare to question his vision for the fandom. My response is no sweat off my back I got my own furry blog. I do not need to cast pearls among the swine.

What furry news is doing is not censorship. Only government can censor and is exclusively prohibited by the 1st amendment of the US Constitution.   Private sites property like Flayrah, Furry News, and Dog Patch press do not come under the 1st amendment and are free to set commenting policy and remove comments on their site even though it may or may not hurt their reputation. In this case, I cannot blame them. What RooView is doing is borderline harassment or just being a big pain I am guilty of this myself; due to lack of civility I disabled all comments on my Word Press blog, you can create your own blog.

There is a bigger problem with theses “news” sites; these sites were good for review furry media and events but their crusades to reform the fandom in their image have pushed the fandom off the rails. Fury fandom is about the love of art, literature, costuming, and role-playing involving anthropomorphic animals.   Furry not about some persons immature, self-centered, trigged, safe space, feelings because somebody is wears, armband, and that has nothing to do with Nazis. If one does not 2 the ranting Griffin, performances, for example, do as I do by not attending. When I joined the fandom in 2006, I was aware there is a lot I object to, from pornography, fetishism and cub furs. I realize I do not have to go to their events or buy their media and still be a fury.   I do not need to go on a half-cocked crusade of personal attacks. Now we have individuals with their own agenda tearing the fandom apart.

It time the fury fandom get back to cartoon animals than politics of persona destruction. It perhaps time to evaluate do these new sites, and ask are these news sites are a benefit or a determent to the fandom. I feel much of the drama is 50% person and 50% news bloggers continuing the fan the flames. It is time to ignore, these amateur efforts like Flayrah, Dog Patch Press, World in RooView, Furry Times, and a host of YouTube blogs as being more destructive to the fandom. If somebody objects to some expression, that person needs to deal with it or time to leave the fandom and do so quietly.

Political Correctness SJW Intolerance has Reach the Furry Fandom

2 the Ranting Gryphon will not be performing, or should I say blacklisted at Anthrocon according to his Twitter account.

According to his YouTube response the board against the wishes Samuel Conway (aka Uncle Kage), the board decide not to allow 2 to perform at Anthrocon. In a more recent video 2 reveled here was  blacklisted from  performing at Anthrocon including  performing in a melody with Uncle Kage performance and the charity  show. 2 was not schedule for any  solo shows. Both shows are still on the schedule.  He is prohibited to have access to a smaller room, or schedule during times when the main events room  is unused.  Even more baffling is Antrocons response. 2 still attracts the largest audience and if they want freshen the acts why not also replace Uncle Kage’s show and the Charity show?  Most troubling, (now confirmed)is  that  same political correct intolerance that is shutting down speech in out universities, and lead to the Hugo Awards fiasco has moved into the Furry fandom.
